What Holds: The Quiet Strength Beneath It All
A gentle reminder that even the unseen is steady and true.
As the year folds inward, I find myself leaning into the unseen.
The scaffolding beneath our days, the quiet routines, the whispered prayers, the moments no one applauds often but that hold everything together.
There’s a strength in these hidden things. In the way we show up with grace. In the way we love even when we’re tired. In the way we choose repeatedly to keep going, to keep holding.
I’ve been reflecting on what holds me. Faith, yes. There are simple acts: brushing hair behind small ears, lighting a candle before dusk, and rewashing the same dishes with the same rhythm.
These are not glamorous moments. But they are faithful ones.
And sometimes, faithfulness is the deepest kind of strength.
Whatever this season brings, may we notice what holds us. And may we become that quiet holding for others, too.
